Hopeful

Yesterday was the anniversary of 9/11.

Even though today is the 12th of September, life in the US (or the world for that matter) was never the same after the towers fell; nor should it be.

It is hard to believe that nearly a decade has passed since that fateful moment, and despite the passing of time, people can still vividly remember where they were the minute they found out about the first plane hitting the Towers.

Yet, I am hopeful.  Terry Jones stood down yesterday.  We have seen nine years without an attack on North American soil.  It is fall, my favorite time of year.  There is a beautiful change in the winds, I can feel it, not just in my life but in the US and the world.  The sun is framed by a cloudless sky, and if nothing else we have this moment, this hour, this day; live it to the fullest!

If for no one else, live it in memory of those who didn’t get a chance to.
